ABOUT THE ROLE:

We are currently recruiting for motivated, reliable and customer focused Helpdesk Assistant to join our team based in Hatfield.

Job Type: Permanent - Full Time.

Pay Rate: £21,000 per annum.

Working Hours: 37.5 Hrs per week, Monday to Friday 09:00 Hrs to 17:00 Hrs.

Start Date: Immediately.

Role Summary:

The Helpdesk Assistant will be responsible for ensuring all requests are dealt with and logged across Hard
and Soft FM Services. They must have excellent customer service skills, and a proactive approach to problem
solving. Good ICT skills essential.

You will work with the site teams to ensure excellent service delivery and that our clients have a better day, every day.

Your responsibilities and Key Areas of work may include:

-To be responsible for ensuring all works are accurately logged, prioritised, and categorised in the CAFM system.
-To take a proactive and friendly approach to customer enquiries and problem solving.
-To have the ability to support with customer complaints, service issues and pass them onto the relevant department.
-To ensure the telephone, footfall, and emails are managed and answered professionally.
-To run reports from the CAFM system as and when required.
-To support with the scheduling of tasks when required.
-To have the ability to gather quotes, and purchase orders. To be able to book work when required.
-To provide a professional reception service to visitors, staff and students.
-To carry out administrative work associated with soft and hard services.
-To log requests for recharge work and assist the Facilities Management Team with making arrangements, including liaising with customers, recording expense codes and the related costs.
-To issue car parking permits to visitors and contractors as required.
-To communicate well and to demonstrate a pleasant and polite personality to team members and customers at all times.
-To promote a good first impression of the University.
-To support at UH events as and when required.
-You will be required to wear the service uniform.

ABOUT YOU:

-Excellent communication skills and able to negotiate with staff and/or contractors.
-Excellent prioritizing skills and taking ownership of tasks.
-Completes work with accuracy with attention to detail.
-A proactive approach to problem solving.
-Ability to work as part of a team.
-Goal orientated focus.
-Good ICT skills essential, with the ability to manipulate and work confidently with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word.
-Be flexible and have a hands-on approach, with the ability to take ownership of a query and see it through.
-Previous experience in Facilities Management and of CAFM software is also desirable.

Previous experience is desirable; however, full training will be provided. You will need to present and conduct yourself in a professional, courteous and appropriate manner in accordance with the Company policies, procedures, guidelines and values.
