ABOUT THE ROLE:

We are currently recruiting for an enthusiastic, innovative and dynamic PPM Maintenance Engineer who will contribute to the team in meeting the challenging business targets based Chorlton, Manchester.

Job Type: Permanent - Full Time.

Pay Rate: £28,000 per annum.

Working Hours: 40 Hrs per week, Monday to Friday working at various locations and working various hours. You must be able to work flexibly. You will be required to start early, with 6pm finishes on occasions.

Start Date: Immediately.

Role Summary:

The role is responsible for providing planned preventative maintenance (PPM) service as directed by the PPM Supervisor on the mechanical and electrical services across the Region including PAT Testing. A PAT Testing qualification is desirable, but not essential as training will be given.

You will work as part of the Hard Services Team but must demonstrate ability to work on your own initiative and complete all paper work in a timely manner. All our cleaning machines are based in Schools, Health Centres, and Offices. .

Your responsibilities and Key Areas of work may include:

-Performing multiple repair, electrical and maintenance tasks throughout the day.
-The repair and maintenance at multiple sites, by maintaining a strong focus on first time fix and quality of work.
-The post holder will be expected to observe safe working practices in carrying out the required duties.
-The post holder must be flexible within 40 hours a week and proactive in your approach to work.
-You will seek out and implement improvements to reduce the level of break downs experienced.
-You will ensure all breakdowns are rectified as effectively as possible.
-You will keep all PAT assets record with the appropriate software.

ABOUT YOU:

Tenon FM operate a computer aided facilities management (CAFM) helpdesk software known as Concept and helpdesk tasks will be performed on this system.

-Experience in this or similar software is desirable as all work requests will be issued via this system.
-Must hold a full driving licence to drive in the UK.
-Ability to multi-task.
-Good general knowledge in many aspects of repair & maintenance work.
-Strong verbal & written communication skills.
-Customer orientated.
-Must be a team player and treat co-workers with respect.
-A proactive approach to problem solving.
-Ability to work as part of a team and independently.
-Ability to methodically approach work.
-Goal orientated focus.
-Be flexible and have a hands-on approach, with the ability to take ownership of a query and see it through.
-City and Guilds level 3 or greater mechanical or electrical maintenance.
-PAT certificate (preferable).
