Job DescriptionThe Head of Technical Services will provide leadership support and guidance on all technical services and support Tenon fm technical teams to build and maintain strong credible relationships with clients ensuring that contracts are is achieving service excellence delivery standards.

This role will be responsible for identifying new project work, have the ability to quote for new works as well as supporting Hard Services teams to ensure that all SLA`s and KPI`s are met.

Key Responsibilities & Tasks:

-Manage and develop excellent relationships with our clients, suppliers and other partners within the Tenon fm business
-Ensure that the operational and strategic aspects are delivered in accordance with the contract SLA through an agreed programme of qualitative checks and controlled measures and to resolve identified deviations, as appropriate
-Develop maximum profitable growth of the business through understanding client needs, maximising the services delivered and championing excellent customer care
-Commitment to the highest professional engineering values and standards, ensuring continuous improvement processing is an integral part of service delivery, adding value to both the business and our clients
-Consistently deliver clear concise briefing of technical issues to technical and non-technical colleagues and provide support on all technical queries
-Define the technical strategy in conjunction with the project development and leadership teams, assess the technical risk and prepare the risk mitigation plan: taking account of pipeline, tools, and key development procedures
-Accountability for project, finance and personnel management and managing trade-offs between technical, commercial and impact to systems or buildings and establishing standards and procedures to track and measure a project's progression
-Identify and price project leads, oversee the technical design documentation process, submit and win tenders within defined timelines with an eye on compliance and cost
-Oversee the development and implementation of the Performance Monitoring Plan (PMP) to capture project performance and results, including routine service delivery data reporting, baseline and end line assessments, and all monitoring for process and outcome evaluations
-Develop and oversee data flow patterns for projects / new technical contracts, to ensure timely data collection and reporting
-Provide written documentation on M&E activities and indicator results for progress and annual reports, as appropriate
-Oversee and/or conduct targeted evaluations and operational research, including design, data collection, management and analysis
-Ensure quality of data through data verification procedures including routine data quality audits and that these are routinely carried out during the project lifecycle
-Cultivate strategic M&E relationships and alliances with other businesses in the UK and represent M&E activities in public and professional circles through meetings, conferences, and presentations
-Source and evaluates new technology and tools as opportunities for innovation and development excellence
-Responsible for supporting all stages of mobilisation of new technical contracts
-Compiling supplier and tender packages to ensure timely and accurate quotations
-Ensure that work orders are verified as per the supplier contract agreements in terms of commercial values, rates, quantities and material costs
-Preparing notes in accordance with the company pricing structure
-Lead and support the undertaking of surveys, including asset surveys, interpret survey results and make recommendations to the Leadership team on key actions and lead negotiations with clients on recommendations and best practice
-Assist with the preparation of budgets and forecasts and provide monthly financial reports and analysis on the cost of maintenance and operations
-Work with project and financial staff to prepare and track progress of project and activity budgets
-Evaluate development teams, identifying strengths, weaknesses, and recommending performance development plans
-Coordinate all M&E capacity-building activities with project team, implementing partners and facility staff
-Support the recruitment process for technical positions to ensure candidates have the appropriate skill-set and professional certifications
-Preparation of regular and ad-hoc reports / projects as required by the client and / or business
-Provides input to the other disciplines on the practicality of initial design goals and impact to the overall project timeline
Key Skills:

-Proven demonstrable experience of having technical accountability for M&E systems and solutions, monitoring, evaluating and securing small, medium and large, single and multi-year FM contracts and capital projects
-Evidence of leading and developing high performing teams to function effectively across multiple site locations / sectors and evolving business projects
-Strong technical skills, including ability to process and analyse data using one or more statistical software packages, including Concept and Maximo
-Highly organised with the ability to forward plan to ensure projects are delivered within the agreed project plans
-Be an excellent and diplomatic communicator with the ability to confidently and credibly engage and influence clients, partners and employees
-Experience of finance and budgetary control and ability to manage profit and loss
-Excellent IT skills, including Microsoft Office suite, with the ability to produce presentations, analyse and report on data and make recommendations
-Excellent skills in building relationships and developing partnerships across multiple stakeholders
-Proven record of being responsive and innovative
-Self-motivated with the ability to work under continuous pressure and meet tight deadlines
-Strategic thinking, organisational, team-building, and representational skills
