ABOUT THE ROLE:

We are currently recruiting for a motivated, reliable and customer focused Supervisor to supervise our team of Cleaning Operatives and the Cleaning Services that we provide to our valued client based at Eastbourne, Surrey, BN24.

Job Type: Permanent - Full Time.

Pay Rate: £16.73 per hour.

Working Hours: 40Hrs per week, 8Hrs per day, Monday to Friday - 07:00Hrs to 16:00Hrs. (Flexible shifts, may need to start later or earlier sometimes)

On-call weekend 1 in 3 to cover custody.

Start Date: Immediately after successful Vetting (usually takes up to 4 weeks)

Full manual driving license required.

Overview of Role:

As an Area Supervisor, you will interact with and support the Account Manager and work closely with the site teams to ensure excellent service delivery and that our clients have a better day, every day.
Present and conduct yourself in a professional, courteous and appropriate manner in accordance with the Company policies, procedures, guidelines and values and carry out all duties required in connection with supporting the management and delivery of the Contract.

Key Responsibilities & Tasks

- Visiting sites to ensure compliance on water temperature checks, emergency light testing and Alarm test.
- To carry out refresh training with staff when required & to make sure all staff under their supervisor are adequately trained.
- Collecting all time sheets and assisting in monthly payroll with line manager.
- To carry out monthly joint audit with the client inline with the assigned ROTA.
- To carry out quality checks on assigned sites on a monthly basis
- To be on call 1 in 3 weekends (Saturday & Sunday) to provide cover for custody centers for sickness, holiday or no show - This is paid at area supervisor rate including travel. If both Saturday & Sunday is worked they are entitled to 1 day off in the following week at the agreement of the Deputy key account manager.
- Arranging cover with the mobile team.
- Delivery and collecting of stock / equipment.
- Reporting , broken or damaged fixtures fittings seen on sites to line manager.
- To provide daily supervisor reports to Deputy & key account manager
- To carry out regular stock checks on sites to make sure sufficient stock is on site.
- To provide cleaning cover of sites as requested.
- Raising orders if need be.
- To carry out regular checks on site COSHH to make sure correct products are in use.
- Support and guide the site cleaning teams to achieve excellent service levels.
- Cover for the mobile team for annual leave absence.
- Any other reasonable duties on an ad-hoc basis.

Key Skills

- Experience as a Cleaner/Cleaning Supervisor desirable.
- Ability to build credible relationships.
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office suite.
- Experience of audits and working with ISO 9001, 14001 and QHSAS 18001 standards
- Ability to listen to and motivate employees.
- Proven record of being responsive and innovative.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work flexibly as part of a team.
- Strong organisational skills.
- Maintain professional internal and external relationships that meet our core values.
