ABOUT THE ROLE:
We are currently recruiting for a motivated, reliable and customer focused Cleaner / Cleaning Operative to join our team based at Comet Way, Hatfield, Hertfordshire, AL10 0XR.
Job Type: Permanent - Part Time.
Pay Rate: £12.21 per hour.
Working Hours: 30Hrs per week, 7.5Hrs per day, Monday to Thursday - 06:00Hrs to 14:00Hrs.
Start Date: Immediately.
Key Responsibilities and Tasks:
- To be responsible for cleaning throughout the external areas of the shopping centre as allocated (this may vary from time to time).
- To use cleaning materials as instructed
- To undertake the cleaning of hard surface floors, roadways, Car parks, Service yards, stairs & entrances and other equipment as specified on the day.
- To handle all centre waste segregating into the correct waste stream using onsite compaction machinery
- To use electrical equipment relevant to the specified requirements i.e. Bin tugs, Balers, compactors, road sweepers, leaf blowers
- To empty and clean bins and remove waste to designated areas.
- To spot-clean spillages
- To dust and wash surfaces carefully each day with clean dusters/cloths, including benches, plant pots, ledges, doors and other places where dust settles as specified on the day.
- To carry out periodic cleaning of all external surfaces, back-of-house corridors, lifts, lift lobby, stairs, windows.
- Report all defects/hazards immediately to Cleaning & Environmental Services Manager
- To comply with COSHH, Manual Handling, Risk Assessment and any other Cleaning Policies
- Undertake any other duties as and when required throughout The Galleria
- Due to the role primary area is external there will be an expectation to work in all weathers although PPE is provided.
ABOUT YOU:
- Applicants must have the right to work in the UK
- Provide excellent level of customer service to both internal and external customers.
- Good Level of English either Written or Spoken.
- Ability to manage time effectively to complete tasks to a high level.
- Able to work with minimum supervision both alone and within a team to achieve specified standards.
Previous experience is desirable; however, full training will be provided.
